There is a special place in my heart for the Paper Pumpkin subscription because it attracted me to card-making in the first place. The kits are stocked with everything needed to create the intended paper crafting projects as designed. My first exposure to the kits was while visiting my friend Anita’s craft room and she showed me some of the cards she had enjoyed making. I was impressed and wanted to know more.
My next encounter with Paper Pumpkin was an invitation to make a couple of alternative cards with a current kit. Anita invited me to her home and I met her Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, Trudy. They shared parts of their kits with me and another friend I had brought along. The first card we made was a shaker card – what a way to start!

Right from the beginning I recognized how I could easily make a unique card by making minor changes to any card design. So, even on that first day, I rearranged a few elements to make the card mine. Little did I know, this was referred to as going rogue.
Finally, Card-Making Made Easy With Paper Pumpkin
I loved that I didn’t have to have any extra paper crafting supplies to learn card-making with the Paper Pumpkin kits. Even more intriguing to me was that I could extend these kits. I could make MANY more versions, or alternative, cards by adding only a few more basic supplies to my repertoire. I started with white, vanilla, and black cardstock. And so, my obsession with card-making began and my reputation for going rogue continued.
Every month I received a kit, delivered right to my mailbox. I would typically make one of each of the intended cards. Then using the “left-over” pieces, I would make as many different cards as I could. I’d typically make 20 -40 cards! I still proudly apply, and promote, the creativity of going rogue.
I’m also still a Paper Pumpkin subscriber. I love and look forward to, getting my new kit each month.
Take The Stress Out Of Card-Making
There’s so much more to Paper Pumpkin than the classic subscription and alternative card-making. Stampin’ Up! offers Paper Pumpkin refills and past kits.
Even better, now it’s easier than ever to identify and locate coordinating products. Each month a parade of products that coordinate perfectly with the current month’s kit are hand-selected, named, and sent to demonstrators in a personal email! The products align and coordinate beautifully with each month’s Paper Pumpkin projects and are easy to find when you shop on my website in the online store. The company also offers instruction recipes – a list of the coordinating products, for their alternate samples and basic instructions.
Paper Pumpkin is all about community and inspiring one another through creativity – and the Stamp Crafting Masters team takes full advantage of this concept. The team meets in person during the first week of each month to create our own uniquely created alternatives.
If you’re wondering how to get in on the fun, contact me and I’ll send you details (no cost to you other than your time). Better yet, when you subscribe to Paper Pumpkin and add me (Kerry Carron) as your demonstrator, you automatically become part of the Stamp Crafting Masters team. Current Paper Pumpkin subscribers and those who have ordered your PaperPumpkin kit directly from me are welcome to attend team meetings. And don’t worry if you are not located in Southern New Mexico. We have online meetings available too.
How To Find Free Paper Pumpkin On The Internet
Lastly, (and especially if you don’t want to commit to subscribing just yet) may I suggest that you join the monthly Stampin” Up Facebook Live event where you can find even more incredible ideas for alternate card making, talk with other crafters and hosts (you’ll probably even see me there) in the chat, learn some new tips and tricks, and have the chance to win a FREE kit!
Card-making is fun for me, it’s so relaxing. So… Try it, you’ll like it. If you love it, you’ll share it. I can’t wait to craft with you!
